Foshan Old Town: A New Hub for Artistic Youth

The Hidden Art Museum is a community art gallery founded by a group of young people from Foshan. They have established community art museums in Tapo and Yinggang communities and actively operate and open them to residents and visitors. Despite lacking a professional art background, these young people have successfully built these two museums through continuous learning and exploration. They believe that as community art museums, their goal is to provide public services, focus on social issues in the surrounding community, and maintain closer interaction with residents and visitors. They value communication and interaction with residents, and some residents even describe them as "good people who often care about us." They believe that this non-conventional, non-serious art space can inject new vitality into the community.

These young people chose to start their entrepreneurial journey in the old neighborhoods of the city, which has deepened their connection with the land of Foshan and enhanced their sense of belonging. They believe that Foshan needs more community art museums like theirs, as such art spaces can bring a new cultural atmosphere to the community and become part of the Chaonan District government's efforts to enhance the city's style. The Chaonan District government also attaches importance to these micro art spaces and has awarded certificates to 10 typical micro art spaces, including the Hidden Art Museum, making them windows for showcasing Chaonan's culture.

In the future, the team at the Hidden Art Museum plans to transform the old site and create interactive installation art, further promoting the development of local cultural creativity in Foshan. They believe that it is this entrepreneurial spirit and love for their hometown that can breathe new life into these old streets and lanes and preserve the city's memories. They hope to bring different nighttime economic options to the community, allowing young people to have a new choice of visiting art museums at night. Through their efforts, they are slowly making the community better and receiving a response from the land they have devoted their efforts to.

Finally, the establishment of the Hidden Art Museum not only represents the exploration and breakthroughs in the professional paths of these young people but also embodies their sense of belonging to Foshan. They hope that through this art museum, both themselves and their children can experience the history and culture of Foshan, and let more people understand the stories of this land. They believe that such efforts can inject new vitality into Foshan and fill the city with an atmosphere of art and culture.

The judge questioned why Pang did not join the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), to which Pang replied that the DAB would have lost under the prevailing social atmosphere at that time. The judge also questioned why Pang included promises in his platform that he would not fulfill, and whether this was deceiving the voters. Pang claimed that the voters have clear judgment and that is why he received fewer votes.
